You were assigned in class on Thursday an essay either “Barack Obama
should be the next president” or “Mitt Romney should be the next
president.” Take the first draft and re-read it and create a great
hamburger essay: about 500 words, with exactly five paragraphs.

candidates political platform were taxes, healthcare, jobs/economy,
immigration, federal spending/deficit and education.

most interesting?

the three historical keys you find interesting with an explanation of
what the key means and examples of it from your neighborhood or the
period of history we have discussed in class.

Was Reconstruction a success or a failure?

the three reasons why Reconstruction was or was not a failure. Use
your notes, the textbook and the Internet as resources. Please mention
where your information came from.
For Both Essay Tests:
Suggestions for writing your essay: Write a first draft on Saturday.
On Sunday, read your essays out loud, fix the mistakes and write your
final draft.
If you decide to type your essays: Size 12 Times New Roman font.
Double Spaced.
If you decide to write your essay by hand: Your writing must be
legible, Use blue or black pen ink and use both sides of loose leaf.
