Seventh Grade Social Studies Final

Two Four Paragraph Hamburger essays
1. Identify and thoroughly explain two factors that caused the Northern and Southern regions to grow apart during the antebellum period of American History (1820-1860). Clarify your general factors with at least two specific examples.
2. The Union decisively defeated the Confederacy in "The War of Secession." Identify and thoroughly explain two general factors that caused the Union's victory. Clarify your general factors with at least two specific examples.

Social Studies Final - Grade 8

You will be asked to craft two essays -- you will not have the advantage of your notes.

Each essay will be a hamburger essay (4 paragraphs)

Introduction Paragraph - thesis/main idea sentence and preview of details to follow

Detail Paragraph - a detail and thorough explanation that supports your thesis

Detail Paragraph - a detail and thorough explanation that supports your thesis

Conclusion - restate the thesis and neatly wrap up ideas
